Only two high schools in our entire state made this list … and CHS is one of them.

  • CHS’s four-year graduation rate (hint: it is among the highest in the state)
  • Average ACT score
  • Average SAT score
  • Percentage of students attending four-year colleges

And more!

The Washington Post’s report also notes “Principal Amy Minor is the Vermont Principal of the Year and was a semifinalist for National Principal of the Year.” If you missed our October 21 article about that, you can read it here—and please click here to learn more about just some of the requirements to be considered for such a prestigious honor.

(If you missed WCAX’s coverage of the surprise send-off coordinated by CHS students for Principal Minor when she journeyed to Washington DC to accept the honor, you can watch it here.)

National acclaim for CHS is becoming something of a habit. US News and World Report has repeatedly ranked CHS among the top 5 percent of the nation’s high schools (please click here to read more about that), and CHS has made Newsweek’s America’s Best High Schools list numerous times (please click here to learn more).

Colchester schools are working really hard to prepare the community’s young people for the future, and their work is attracting notice all around the country. It is something to be proud of as a community.
