Colchester Middle School Students Participate in District III Jazz and Music Festivals

In November, ten Colchester Middle School (CMS) students participated in the second annual District III Jazz Festival at Brown’s River Middle School. Students spent the day rehearsing with a local guest conductor and ended the evening with a concert featuring the Jazz Chorus and Band and including many soloists.

On January 29 and 30, 12 students represented the Colchester Middle School at the District III Music Festival held at Essex Middle School. Students rehearsed for two days with guest conductors and concluded the festival with a concert featuring the festival String Ensemble, Chorus, and Band for an audience of more than 800 people.
